Tedworth House is one of four Recovery Centre’s run by Help for Heroes which form part of the Defence Recovery Capability. Based on the Wiltshire/Hampshire border the House provides support to serving and veteran members of the Armed Forces who have been wounded, injured or become sick.
Active were contracted to undertake the removal of asbestos containing materials from loft space areas as part of the clients planned asbestos management programme being implemented on site. Active constructed air tight enclosures within the designated loft space areas, with the environmental clean of loft space areas being carried out in strict accordance with current legislation. All works areas were independently inspected by UKAS accredited analysts upon the completion of decontamination works, inclusive of the issuing of 4 stage clearance certificates of reoccupation.
Active’s site team and project managers were able to successfully co-ordinate the works with the client in order to ensure the normal functioning/ operation of the building could be maintained throughout our works on site. All works were completed successfully and within the agreed timescales/ project durations. Active were able to provide a cost effective and efficient remediation solution.
